Terry Lawson’s practice primarily involves representing individuals in litigation in various state and federal courts. He focuses on consumer protection cases, including debt defense, FDCPA violations, and other consumer claims. He frequently helps those with student loan debt issues, and the legal claims that arise from servicing and collecting student loans. In addition, he assists clients with consumer bankruptcy cases. And he has also successfully represented dozens of clients in a wide variety of personal injury cases.
Terry is a frequent speaker to attorneys and the public on matters of consumer law, student loans and litigation.
Terry served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is a former schoolteacher, plays the ukulele (badly), and loves a good steak. He is married and has one son. He lives with his family in Kansas City, North.
